Compliance Business Partner

Role: Country Compliance Business Partner – Spain

Purpose of role: To support and drive initiatives as part of our Global Product compliance team ensuring Primark’s products are compliant with the regulatory and safety requirements in our trading countries (retail markets? – just a suggestion as OK with both). with a commercial and proactive approach and a focus on product compliance (move to main body)

Product and Process
• Under the leadership of the Head of Compliance you will deliver our product compliance strategy, aligned to the quality strategy that ensures Primark is legally compliant in all trading countries and enables our future plans withing given product categories
• The role requires a commercial and proactive approach with a focus on product compliance
• Implement and develop (if required) agreed compliance processes in line with Primark's quality strategy.
• Investigate and support business in case of authority contact and inspection, implementing corrective actions if needed.
• Work closely with Spanish authorities and other regions if required, supporting with communication during their inspections and liaising as their Primark contact point
• Be the responsible person at Primark required to fulfil the needs of the Local Technical manager in Spain for products that need certification and registration
• Monitor coming legislation and trends in our trading markets to be proactive using local network in sales countries
• Working with the compliance team and other business stakeholders to identify and share product risk by market with a commercial & reputational focus providing recommendations.
• Give input to the Primark Quality standards and requirements, product safety and certification manuals in case of local requirement updates
• Support the business requirements for new markets, highlighting compliance and safety issues by product type and ensuring commercial and proactive solutions to mitigate risks
• Work with our QA teams globally and our global partners to develop a best practice compliance end to end process within given area
• Establish the rule set for product labelling compliance and have the ownership of the manual and product compliance processes needed to secure implementation
• Work with key internal stakeholders such as customer services, legal & retail teams to support them in their issue management & resolution in each of our markets.
• Using your internal and external network to raise the profile of product compliance across Primark and its importance of securing our compliant trading
Suppliers and Service Provider
• Be a representative for Compliance within Primark's supply base
• Proven ability in managing sensitive matters whilst ensuring all Primark information remains confidential to the business.
• Work with key stakeholders in our sourcing teams to drive supplier improvement and to ensure key suppliers deliver more value & service to Primark and are aware of compliance updates and issues
• Pro-actively make our internal stakeholders aware of any issues arising from compliance interaction with suppliers to ensure a global team approach to issue resolution.
• Excellent attention to details and an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview

People:

• Maintain regular communication with peer group to ensure consistent ways of working
• Build strong relationships across the quality and sourcing teams to enable more informed decision making
• Proven ability to influence at all levels of the company.
• Coach and up-skill the wider teams as required
